CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Tech men's basketball team opposed a tough University of Chicago team on the road Tuesday night. Despite the best scoring night of Anthony Mosley Jr.'s career up to this point, the Scarlet Hawks fell to the Maroons 84-64.

How it Happened

• Chicago began the game on an 11-2 run. After the Scarlet Hawks pulled to within five at 13-8 on a Mosley Jr. lay-up, a Maroons three-pointer prompted Head Coach Todd Kelly to take a timeout.
• Mosley Jr. caught fire from the floor at the end of the first half, scoring 11 of Tech's final 13 points prior to the intermission. However, the Chicago offense continued to give the Scarlet Hawk defense problems, as the Maroons took a 41-24 lead to halftime.
• Tech was more balanced offensively over the second half's first 10 minutes, as five different players poured in points. Despite that, Chicago was able to stretch its lead to as much as 28.
• Mosley Jr. attempted to will the Scarlet Hawks back into the game, going on his own 15-7 run over a 3:21 span. Tech trimmed the lead to as much as 15 before time ran out.

Scarlet Hawk Standouts

• Mosley Jr. scored a career-high 36 points on 15-of-24 (62.5%) shooting. He also tallied three rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
• Max Hisatake added nine points on 4-of-7 shooting.
• Jake Digiorgio added six points and five rebounds off the bench.

Stats to Know

• Each team attempted 58 shots, but Chicago hit 30 of them (51.7%) compared to Tech's 26 (44.8%).
• UChicago was 11-of-25 from three-point range (44.0%) and 13-of-19 (68.4%) from the free throw line. Tech was just 3-of-12 (25.0%) from downtown and 9-of-14 (64.3%) from the charity stripe.
• Chicago dominated the glass, outrebounding the Hawks 41-24.
