No. 14 Women’s Soccer Hosts Engineering Cup

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 9, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team hosts the 13th Annual Engineering Cup Saturday and Sunday.
    
COMPETING TEAMS
Joining the Ducks this weekend will be Vassar College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and 2015 Engineering Cup Champions New York University.

CUP SCHEDULE
Stevens and Vassar will square off Saturday at 12:30 p.m. while MIT and NYU battle at 3:30. The following day it'll be the Vassar and MIT at 12:30 and Stevens vs. NYU in the nightcap at 3:30.

LAST YEAR'S RESULTS
The Ducks knocked off Vassar 2-1 in double overtime last year, getting a goal in the 109th minute from Zisi Komar. NYU beat Stevens the following day in the first overtime period.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks routed Mount Saint Mary College 7-0, with five different players tallied goals.

MATHELIER KEEPS IT GOING
Senior Gabby Mathelier kept her torrid start going, as she tallied two more goals in the win over the Knights. Mathelier has taken eight shots this season, with five ending up in the back of the net.

HIP HIP, SAADE
Freshman Gabriella Saade has points in two of her first three career collegiate games. Saade has a goal to go along with three assists thus far.

GOALS, GOALS, GOALS
The team is averaging a stunning six goals per game, and have outscored their opponents 18-2 over the first three games of the season.

NO GOALS FOR YOU
In her first start of the season, sophomore Madi Chollett made two stops for her first shutout of the season. In two career starts, Chollett has blanked both opponents.

RABID RABA
Senior Raba Nassif added a pair of goals on Tuesday, running her total to four on the season. Nassif has scored multiple goals in two of the three matches thus far.
