ATLANTA, Ga. – The #37 ranked Millsaps College men's tennis team traveled to #1 Emory University for a non-conference match on Friday afternoon. The score was 2-1 after doubles play, but the top-ranked Eagles took all of the singles matches to come away with the 8-1 win.  

The Majors now sit at 6-3 overall on the year.   

In doubles play Alex Centurion and Davis Plummer were able to get the Majors the point at #1 with an 8-6 win. The other two matches were extremely hard-fought, but it was Emory that came out on top 8-5 in both to take the 2-1 lead.

Emory was able to capitalize on the momentum from doubles, and take all six of the singles matches for the 8-1 win.

What's Next?
Millsaps now travels to Florida for spring break. The Majors will be in Orlando all week long. First up is a match with #22 Kenyon College at 7:00 a.m. CDT on Monday.
