Case Reserve 5, Ohio Wesleyan 0

Case Western Reserve took a 2-0 halftime lead and went on to record a non-conference win over Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.

The Spartans took the lead midway through the first half on a goal by Amy Lindberg, then made it 2-0 on Pauline Van Dijck's goal in the 39th minute.

Case Reserve added to the lead with second-half goals by Rachel Hammond, Alexa Williams, and Angelina Batty.

Case Reserve outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 35-5.  Freshman Mackenzie Brunke (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) recorded 12 saves for Ohio Wesleyan.  Megan Romelfanger and Sarah Newcomb combined for 3 saves for the Spartans.
