From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

Senior Kerrigan Cain (Hartville, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) of the Case Western Reserve University baseball team has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America ® Division III baseball first team after posting a 4.0 undergraduate GPA in chemical engineering.

During the 2015 season, Cain carried a .336 batting average including 49 hits and 25 RBIs.

In 2014, Kerrigan was named to the D3 Baseball.com All-Mideast Region Third Team and earned an All-UAA second team selection. He is also a three-time University Athletic Association All-Academic honoree. 

Of the 33 members of the Capital One Academic All-America ® Division III baseball team, 14 have a 3.90 G.P.A or better and Cain is one of five of this year's honorees to have a perfect 4.0.

Since the program's inception, a total of 85 Case Western Reserve student-athletes have been named Academic All-America®.
