Nolan Schultz and Brian Munoz Each Named ECAC All-Stars

Senior Brian Munoz and junior Nolan Schultz capped the 2015 award season earned All-Star honors from the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Tuesday.

Both Munoz, a third baseman and Schultz, a catcher were one of 16 players selected to the Division III Upstate NY team by the conference.

Munoz enjoyed his best season at Rochester in 2015, hitting .340 (50-147) at the plate with 32 runs, 11 doubles, 5 triples and 3 home runs.  He drove in 26 runs while also leading UR in on base percentage (.450), hits (50), walks (21) and HBP (10).  He reached base safely in the team's first 33 games and ended up getting on base in all but three of UR's 42 games this season.  He was a 1st Team selection from both the Liberty League and UAA, a 1st Team All-Region choice by D3Baseball.com and 2nd Team selection by ABCA/Rawlings.
 
Schultz kept his strong Rochester career going in 2015, being a unanimous 1st Team All-Liberty League choice while earning 2nd team accolades from the University Athletic Association.  He also earned 1st Team All-Region from D3Baseball.com and was a 3rd Team selection by the ABCA/Rawlings.  The junior hit .319 (46-144) with 29 runs, 6 doubles, 6 triples and 7 home runs.  He added 35 RBI's and was the team leader in triples, total bases (85) and slugging (.590) while being one of the most feared catchers to run on in the country, tossing out 18 runners trying to steal against him this season.
