Junior outfielder Christian Santos of Association champion Washington University was named Most Valuable Player of the 2016 UAA Baseball Championship.

Santos batted .448 with a tournament-best 10 runs scored and shared the tournament lead with two home runs and nine runs batted in to lead the Bears to their first outright UAA title since 2005.
He also provided the tournament's most dramatic moment when he hit a two-run, two-out, walkoff home run on an 0-2 pitch to give the Bears a 3-2 win over Emory University in the 10th inning.
