From University of Rochester Athletics

The University of Rochester baseball team split a Liberty League doubleheader with Bard College on Sunday, walking off to win game one, 6-5, before seeing its seven-game winning streak snapped with a 10-5 loss in game two.

The Yellowjackets are 17-13 overall, 10-6 in the Liberty League. Bard is 9-23, 4-12.  Looking at the conference standings after Sunday, Rochester sits one game back in a 2nd place tie with Vassar and Union while Clarkson holds down the top spot with a 11-5 Liberty League record.  The entire conference is bunched up, with RPI at 9-7, St. Lawrence at 10-10 and RIT at 7-9 in the league.

Rochester scored five runs in the first three innings of the opener and led 5-3 through three.  They scored one in the first when Matt Todd doubled and later scored on a single by Nolan Schultz. After Bard tied it in the top of the second, the Jackets scored two more in the bottom of the frame. An infield single by Jake Meyerson plated Dan Warren, who had walked, and a fielder's choice grounder by Grant Kilmer scored Meyerson to make it 3-1.

The Raptors responded again with two in the top of the third to tie it, but Rochester made it 5-3 with a pair of unearned runs – the key hit a two-out double by Pete Carrier – in the bottom of the third.

Bard picked up single runs in the fifth and sixth to tie it, so it was 5-5 headed to the bottom of the seventh in a seven-inning game.
