Junior Ben Browdy went 4-for-5 with eight RBIs, including a pair of three-run homeruns, to lead the Washington University in St. Louis baseball team to a 15-5 win in seven innings over Iowa Wesleyan University Sunday afternoon.

WashU improved to 20-11 overall with its fifth win in a row, while Iowa Wesleyan dropped to 7-14. The Bears return to action by traveling to Webster University Tuesday, April 12. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at GCS Ballpark.

The Bears scored in the first inning for the 19^th time this season, taking a 2-0 lead on an RBI double by senior Max Golembo and a one-out RBI single by Browdy. The Tigers responded with an unearned run in the top of the second to cut the lead to 2-1. WashU got the run back in the bottom of the inning on a bases-loaded single through the left side to make it 3-1.

After Iowa Wesleyan scored a run in the top of the second, the Bears scored four runs on five hits to open up a 7-2 lead. The Tigers turned a leadoff double into a run in the top of the fourth to make it 7-3, but the Bears added four more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Junior Christian Santos lined an RBI single to right field and Browdy lined a three-run homer over the left-field fence to extend WashU's lead to 11-3.

The Tigers took advantage of two errors by the Bears to score a pair of unearned runs in the top of the seventh, cutting the lead to 11-5, but in the bottom of the inning Browdy put an exclamation point on his day by launching a 2-0 pitch over the left-field fence for his second three-run blast of the game. After a pitching change, junior Tate Maider lifted the first pitch he saw over the left-field fence to end the game with the 10-run win for WashU.

WashU finished with 17 hits in the game, including six for extra bases, while Iowa Wesleyan had seven hits. Browdy's four hits were an RBI single, an RBI double and two three-run homers as he increased his team-leading RBI total to 51 for the season. It was his 13^th multiple-hit and 14^thmulti-RBI game this season. Junior Austin Darmawan (3-for-4, two RBIs, two runs) and Santos (3-for-5, RBI, two runs) finished with three hits apiece, while Maider (2-for-5, RBI, two runs) and sophomore Conor O'Hara (2-for-4, two runs) also had multi-hit performances.

Freshman Sean Clarke (2-1) earned the win on the mound after allowing one earned run on just one hit in 3 2/3 innings of relief. Junior Matt Clohisy went 2 1/3 innings in his first career start, allowing two runs, just one earned, on six hits. Junior Bill Heisler pitched the seventh inning for the Bears, surrendering two unearned runs.

Bear Notebook: The Bears improved to 10-1 at home this season … It was the 17^th time this season the Bears have recorded double-digit hits and the 12^th time they have scored double-digit runs in a game … Browdy's previous career-high was four RBIs in a game … Golembo's RBI double in the first inning was his 182^nd career hit, moving him into a tie with Andrew Goldstick (2012-15) for seventh on WashU's all-time leaderboard … O'Hara extended his hitting streak to a career-best 10 games … Golembo reached base safely for the 130^th game of his career … Darmawan appeared in his 100^th career game, making his 75^th start.
