Billy Dimlow of Emory Selected to D3Baseball.com All-America First Team

From Emory University Athletics

Sophomore Billy Dimlow of the Emory University Baseball team was honored by D3Baseball.com Thursday morning as he was one of four starting pitchers to be named a First Team All-American.

Dimlow becomes just the fourth player in Emory history to be named to the D3Baseball.com All-America teams and is the second to be selected to the First Team, joining former outfielder Brett Lake who earned the honor in 2014. D3Baseball.com has announced All-America teams since 2007.

Earlier this week, Dimlow was chosen to the First Team All-South Region by both D3Baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings and was named the D3Baseball.com's South Region Pitcher of the Year. Previously, the Sammamish, WA native earned University Athletic Association Co-Pitcher of the Year acclaim as well as All-UAA First Team honors.

Dimlow was a six-game winner in 2017, finishing the campaign with a 6-2 record in 11 starts with 83 strikeouts and a 1.09 earned-run average in 74 innings pitched. He ranked among the NCAA Division III leaders in ERA (4th), strikeouts (34th) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (43rd).
