The American Baseball Coaches Association named three members of the University of Chicago baseball team to the 2017 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region teams on Tuesday.

Maximiliano Larsen earned a Second Team All-Region selection as an outfielder. The junior put together the best offensive season of his career, leading the team in batting average (.406), doubles (18), walks (22), slugging percentage (.556) and on-base percentage (.500). Larsen tallied 31 RBI and one triple over the course of 36 games played. On the base paths, he scored 32 runs and stole four bases.

Fellow outfielder Connor Hickey gained Third Team All-Region accolades from the ABCA. Earlier in the day, he was also named Second Team All-Region by D3baseball.com. In his sophomore campaign, Hickey was a constant threat on base as he racked up 18 steals on 20 attempts and set a new school record with 53 runs scored. He hit for a .387 batting average at the top of the order with 34 RBI. Hickey compiled 16 extra-base hits – 11 doubles, three triples and two home runs.

Catcher Ian Bohn joined Hickey on the Third Team. His sophomore season behind the plate featured no errors defensively and he threw out 12 runners attempting to steal. In the batter's box, Bohn led the team in RBI with 35 while ranking second in batting average (.391) and doubles (12). He also added one home run and started 34 out of 35 games played.
