From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics

Three players on the Carnegie Mellon University football team were named to the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South All-Star Team. Senior defensive lineman Ryan Jok (Novi, Mich.) was selected to the first team while senior inside linebacker Eric Rolfes (Cincinnati, Ohio/Madeira) and sophomore cornerback Vince Demarchi (Chesterland, Ohio/West Geauga) receive second-team accolades. All three were also named to the University Athletic Association (UAA) first team.

Jok, who is a 2013 Capital One Academic All-American, was a three-year starter for the Tartans and finished the season with 43 tackles, including a team-best 5.0 tackles for loss. He also had 2.5 sacks, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery.

Rolfes tied for the team lead with 76 tackles and totaled 4.5 tackles for a loss of 15 yards.  The senior recorded his second career sack in 2013 and also recorded his first interception.  Rolfes ended his career ranked 18th all the school's all-time tackles list with 172 career tackles.  

Demarchi was sixth on the team with 43 tackles while recording two interceptions, both in UAA play.  The sophomore tallied nine pass breakups to total 11 passes defended which tied him for tops in the UAA.  Seven of the passes defended came in association play.

Carnegie Mellon also had three members named to the ECAC All-Star Team following the 2006 season when Aaron Lewis, Travis Sivek and J.P. White earned the honor.
