From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

Case Western Reserve University junior linebacker Everett Dishong (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) has been named to the D3Football.comNational Team of the Week for his performance in the Spartans' 30-0 victory against Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.).

Also the University Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week, Dishong totaled a game-high and career-best 13 tackles in the week one win. Dishong's four tackles for loss were a career high, while his two sacks and three pass break-ups matched personal bests.

Dishong becomes the first Spartan to be named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week since Dan Calabrese earned the honor in October of 2011.

Now in his second season as a starter, Dishong has 88 career tackles (16 for loss), 6.5 sacks and 10 pass break-ups.
