Three members of the University of Chicago football team were named to the USA College Football All-American teams for NCAA Division III.
Senior defensive tackle Scott Mainquist was a First Team All-American pick. Mainquist was previously named Third Team All-American by D3Football.com. He achieved University Athletic Association (UAA) Defensive Player of the Year honors after totaling 43 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks and a team-high eight quarterback hurries.
Senior defensive end Brandon Bolock earned a spot on the Third Team after a standout final campaign. Bolock contributed team highs in sacks (6.5), tackles for loss (13.5), forced fumbles (3) and blocked kicks (3). He was named First Team All-UAA and also tallied 55 tackles, nine passes defended and two interceptions.
Junior cornerback Vincent Beltrano picked up Honorable Mention All-American status. A First Team All-UAA honoree, Beltrano paced the Maroon defenses with three interceptions, nine pass breakups and 12 passes defended. He finished with 50 tackles along with two fumble recoveries.
