University of Chicago football player Vincent Beltrano's big weekend performance was rewarded with a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday.

Beltrano intercepted three passes and made a team-best 13 tackles on Saturday. His effort helped UChicago clinch a 28-14 victory at Birmingham-Southern College. The Maroons, who are now ranked No. 24 in the latest D3football.com national poll, kept their perfect 4-0 record intact.

The senior cornerback now has four interceptions, four pass breakups, two tackles for loss and 29 tackles on the season. His 15 career interceptions are tied for the most in school history with Colin Carrier (2002-05). Beltrano was also selected as Defensive Athlete of the Week by both the University Athletic Association (UAA).
