University of Chicago football player Vincent Beltrano was named a 2015 Preseason Second Team All-American by D3football.com on Friday.

Beltrano enters his senior season at cornerback for the Maroons, who boasted one of the top defenses in Division III last season. The Maroons ranked in the top 20 in the nation in eight different statistical categories, including No. 5 in total defense. Beltrano contributed 50 tackles, three interceptions and nine pass breakups. He was a Third Team All-Region pick by D3football.com in 2014.

In UChicago's career records, Beltrano ranks third with 11 interceptions. The school's all-time interception leader is Colin Carrier (2002-05) with 15.
