Seven UAA student-athletes were named to the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division III Football Team. All four UAA squads placed at least one student-athlete on the All-America team.
Four UAA players were chosen as first-team All-America® honorees, including senior kicker Alex Hallwachs of Washington University. The UAA Special Teams Player of the Year earned second-team Academic All-America® accolades in 2014.
Senior defensive lineman Dayton Snyder and senior defensive back Scott Suren of Case Western Reserve University were recognized on the Academic All-America® First Team. Both players earned first-team All-Association honors this season.
University of Chicago senior defensive back Vincent Beltrano garnered Academic All-America® First Team honors, capping off a career in which he earned All-Association honors all four seasons, including being named a first-team defender each of the past three years. Beltrano was named the 2012 UAA Rookie of the Year and 2013 Special Teams Co-Player of the Year.
UAA Offensive Player of the year Sam Benger and UAA Defensive Player of the Year Brian Khoury of Carnegie Mellon University were each named to the Academic All-America® Second Team. Khoury is a junior and Benger is a sophomore, making them two of just 11 non-seniors named to the 48-player teams.
Senior defensive lineman Brian Douglas, a second-team All-Association selection this season, was also named to the Academic All-America® Second Team.
