Highlighted by four top-four finishes, Washington University sits in first place in the final fall Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings, as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

The Bears qualified all six fall teams to the NCAA Championship for the first time in school history. The women's soccer team garnered 100 points after winning its first national championship with a 5-4 shootout victory over Messiah College Dec. 3 in Salem, Virginia. The national title was also the 20th for Washington University.
Women's cross country and volleyball both collected 90 points each after NCAA runner-up finishes, while men's cross country brought home 80 points after a fourth-place finish. Football and men's soccer recorded 25 points apiece after NCAA first round appearances.
The University of Chicago is in 15th place thanks to three fall teams that reached the postseason: women's soccer (NCAA semifinals), men's soccer (NCAA Round of 16) and women's cross country (NCAA 25th place).
Emory University (21st) and Brandeis University (22nd) are back-to-back in the final fall standings. The Eagles' volleyball team reached the NCAA Elite 8, while the men's and women's cross country squads each placed 24th in the NCAA championship. The Judges were the only team in the nation to advance their men's and women's soccer teams to the NCAA Final Four.
Carnegie Mellon University is in 25th place after the fall season on the strength of four teams making the NCAA tournament. The men's cross country team placed 20th, the men's soccer team reached the NCAA second round, and the women's soccer and volleyball squads made NCAA first round trips.
