Washington University in St. Louis Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Lori White announced Chris Peacock has assumed responsibilities as Interim Director of Athletics following the retirement of Justin Carroll after 36 years at WashU.
Peacock, who has served as the Deputy Director of Athletics since 2014, has 20 years of athletic administration experience. He arrived on the Danforth Campus after spending 11 years as an Assistant Athletic Director at the University of Illinois.
A search committee led by White, is managing the process for naming a permanent director of athletics.
