Evan Kupferberg of NYU Named First Team ECAC Metro All-Star

Evan Kupferberg of the New York University men's basketball team was named a 2013-14 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III First Team Metro All-Star on Thursday, April 17.

The sophomore continues to rack up the postseason awards and has now totaled four yearly regional awards. Kupferberg adds his ECAC honor to his most recent one from the Met Basketball Writers Association (MBWA), as well as ones from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D3hoops.com. In addition, the Boca Raton, FL, native was named First Team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) following the regular season.

Overall, the 6-foot-6 forward earned three ECAC awards this season, adding his First Team honors to his two Metro Player of the Week awards (1/14, 2/11). He had also earned one UAA Athlete of the Week honor (12/9) and was a member of the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week (12/12).
