Chandler Malone of Washington Selected For NCAA Career In Sports Forum

From Washington University Athletics

Washington University in St. Louis freshman Chandler Malone of the men's basketball team was one of 200 student-athletes from across the NCAA selected to participate in the Career in Sports Forum Thursday-Sunday, June 5-8, in Indianapolis, Ind.

Organized and directed by the NCAA Leadership Development department, the Career in Sports Forum was created to provide student-athletes with a broader scope of the career tracks available within the sports business, focusing primarily on intercollegiate athletics. The forum provides student-athletes interactive experiences with successful individuals in sports business, providing a glimpse into their day-to-day duties and responsibilities.

Malone played junior varsity for the Bears as a freshman and saw action in one varsity game. A two-time all-district and all-state honoree at John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas, Malone is enrolled in Washington U.'s College of Arts & Sciences.

Participants who expressed an interest in pursuing a career in sports and who were viewed as leaders on their campus were invited to the Career in Sports Forum after being nominated by athletics administrators at their respective schools.
