From NYU Athletics
The New York University men's basketball team, which finished
the regular season with a 17-8 overall record and a third-place
(8-6) mark in the University Athletic Association (UAA), has
received a bid to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC)
Division III Metro Championship and will host a first-round
contest.
The announcement was made on Monday afternoon, March 2.
The Violets, back in the ECAC Tournament for the third straight
season, are seeded #3 in the eight-team tournament and will host
#6 Rutgers University-Camden,(14-11, 8-10 New Jersey Athletic
Conference) on Wednesday night, March 4 at 8:00 pm at the Jerome S.
Coles Sports Center in Manhattan. It will be the first-ever meeting
between the two schools.
The winner of the match-up between NYU and the Scarlet Raptors
will play the winner of the #2 Rutgers University-Newark and #7
York (NY) College contest on Saturday, March 7 (time TBA).

#7 - York (14-13, 8-8 CUNYAC)
#8 - Centenary College (15-11, 11-7 CSAC)
