Taylor Roth Added to NYU Staff

From NYU Athletics

Taylor Roth has been added as an assistant coach with the New York University men's basketball team. His responsibilities will include assisting in the daily operations of the program, as well as on-court instruction, scouting, film exchange, and recruiting.

"Taylor brings a tremendous amount of experience to our coaching staff," said Head Coach Joe Nesci. "He will help a great deal in the progress of this team and its players."

Roth joined the Violets after a two-year stint (2013-15) as an assistant coach at Bluffton University. He was involved in all aspects of the Beavers' program and was specifically responsible for recruiting, opponent scouting, organizing team summer camps, as well as assisting with the strength and conditioning program.

Prior to his time with the Beavers, Roth spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant coach with Alfred University. While with the Saxons, he was responsible for film exchange, opponent scouting and working with the team's forwards.

A 2011 graduate of Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical education and health, Roth was a four-year member of Yellow Jackets' basketball team, serving as team captain as a senior. Following graduation, he spent 2011-12 as an assistant coach at his alma mater.

Roth went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in 2015 from Bluffton.

"I want to thank Coach Nesci for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the NYU men's basketball program and athletic department," said Roth. "I look forward to contributing to the success of this program in the coming years."

A native of Sandusky, OH, Roth resides in Manhattan.
