Matt Clark of CWRU Selected to NABC All-Great Lakes Second Team

The postseason accolades continued to pile up for Case Western Reserve University senior Matt Clark, as the guard was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-Great Lakes Region Second Team, following his standout 2015-16 campaign for the Spartans.

Earlier in the week, Clark was selected to the D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region Third team.  He also received All-University Athletic Association First Team recognition for his performance during the year.

Clark averaged 17.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assist and 2.1 steals per game during the year.  He had nine games of at least 20 points, and tallied at least 10 points, five rebounds and five assists on five occasions, including four in UAA games.  Clark was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and the UAA Athlete of the Week, and was also selected to the Bill Sudeck All-Tournament Team earlier in the campaign.

Clark also led all UAA scorers with 19.1 points per game in conference play this season, shooting 46.1% from the field, 35.6% from three-point range, and 84.4% from the free throw line (the third-best in the UAA during the season).  He paced the conference with 35 total steals and 2.5 steals per game in UAA action, while averaging 4.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists.  Clark set a career high with 33 points in a win over Emory on February 21st, and averaged 29.3 points over his final three games of the year.

The Spartans finished the 2015-16 season with a 12-13 overall record, and were sixth in the UAA with a 5-9 UAA ledger.
