Evan Kupferberg of NYU Named D3hoops All-East Region

Evan Kupferberg of New York University's men's basketball team garnered D3hoops.com All-East Region honors.

Kupferberg, selected to the First Team, was instrumental in leading the men's team to the second round of the 2016 NCAA DIII Men's Basketball Championship and a 21-6 overall record, including 9-5 in the UAA. The senior captain adds this award to his D3hoops.com First Team All-East Region honors from 2014-15 and Second Team honors from 2013-14.

The 6-foot-6 forward earned his third-consecutive First Team All-UAA accolade and was named UAA Player of the Year for the first time in his career. On his way to being selected as the Association's top player, Kupferberg also earned a handful of individual honors from the UAA, MBWA and ECAC this season.

The Boca Raton, FL, native led NYU in scoring (19.2 pg), shooting (.614), rebounding (10.6 rbg), and made free throws (93). Kupferberg also led the UAA in scoring and total rebounds while he was second in rebounding and field goal percentage.
