Tyler Nading Added to Washington Staff

From Washington University Athletics

Washington University in St. Louis men's basketball coach Mark Edwards has announced the addition of Tyler Nading to the Bears' coaching staff for the 2015-16 season.

"We are excited to have Tyler join our staff this year. Having been a major contributor to two National Championships, he knows what it takes to get there," said Edwards. "His enthusiasm and competitive energy will definitely impact our team. We were fortunate to have Aaron Thompson in this role the last couple of years, and to follow-up with Tyler is great."

Nading was a two-time All-American for the Bears and a starter on the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship teams. He ranks in the top-10 in school history in six categories, including first in steals (187) and fourth in scoring (1,552).

Nading averaged 13.4 points per contest in 116 career games played, and was a four-time all-University Athletic Association (UAA) honoree and the 2006 UAA Rookie of the Year. In addition to his success on the court, he was a two-time ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District and three-time Academic All-UAA selection.

Nading graduated from WashU in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and works full-time for CH2M out of Denver specializing in water treatment. He is married to former WashU women's soccer player Lauren Mehner.
