After settling into the unique town of San Ignacio, our team was enthusiastic to commence our second day in Belize.
Our first stop of the day was in Camelot to run a youth clinic for basketball players under 14. This was a great experience to teach younger basketball players and we even had the opportunity to meet the mayor of Camelot!
After we finished teaching the camp, we had lunch and then headed to the Rainforest to participate in some very cool activities. We began our trek into the rainforest climbing stairs and hills to begin our first zip line course out of six.
After we were done coasting through the trees enjoying the amazing views, we headed to the water to traverse through the dark caves in a river in the rainforest.

Walking a half an hour through mud, water, and rocks was worth it in the end because of what that trail led to. We went cave tubing in crystal clear water, although at times it was hard to tell in the pitch black of the cave. With a few stops along the way, include a cliff jumping spot on top of a waterfall in the cave, we had a relaxing time riding Mother Nature's version of a lazy river.
Directly after cave tubing we quickly drove over to a local gym to play a semipro team: the Belmopan Bandits. It was a great experience to be able to play against a team from a different culture and different play style than what we are normally used to. With a few adjustments, we were able to win the game.
After the game, we went to a karaoke night and met the Head of National Security for Belize. After today, we have one more stop in San Ignacio then we are off to San Pedro.
