From University of Rochester Athletics

The University of Rochester men's basketball team shot lights out over an eight minute stretch to bust open a tight game, winning 82-60 on the road over SUNY Geneseo on Tuesday evening at Carl Schrader Gymnasium.
 
Starting at 17:25 of the second half and running until 9:21 left, Rochester shot a combined 12-16 from the floor, exploding for a 31-11 run, eventually posting the 22-point victory.  The 17th-ranked Yellowjackets move to 6-1 on the season, earning their fourth straight win while SUNY Geneseo falls to 3-4 on the season.
 
The Yellowjackets also committed just four turnovers, the fewest in a single game since UR had only four turnovers against Chicago on February 11th, 2011.  In contrast, Rochester also handed out a season high 23 assists on 34 baskets.
  
Rochester's victory also was the seventh straight in the series against the Knights.  UR was balanced offensively, with seven players contributing at least six points, led by junior Ryan Clamage who scored 16 points, including making 4-7 from 3-point range.  Junior Jacob Wittig added 14 points with seven assists while classmate Michael Mangan scored 13 points with four rebounds and three steals.
 
Andrew Lundstrom chipped in eight points, while Patrick Benka made three triples for nine points off the bench.  Jacob Urban was a perfect 4-4 from the floor and had eight points and four rebounds while Brendan O'Shea had six points, five assists and four rebounds.
 
SUNY Geneseo was led by 21 points from Kevin Crockett who shot 9-12 from the floor.  Tommy Eastman had a double-double for the Knights, scoring 10 points while pulling down 16 rebounds, with teammate Quinn Carey adding nine points.
 
Rochester ended up shooting above 50% from the floor for the first time this season, ending at 50.7% (34-67) while Geneseo shot at a 42.4% clip (25-59).  The Knights held the advantage on the glass though, leading 36 to 31.
