From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

Case Western Reserve University Head Men's Basketball Coach Todd McGuinness has announced the hiring of Mike Fitzpatrick as the team's assistant coach.

"We are really excited to add Mike to the staff," said McGuinness.  "Mike is a proven recruiter and will help our program moving forward.  His work ethic and drive to make our players better will be a welcome addition."

Fitzpatrick comes to Case Western Reserve after a year at Susquehanna University, where he worked as the team's assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.  Prior to his time with the River Hawks, he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Salisbury University, helping the squad to a 41-15 record over two seasons and back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances.

Fitzpatrick began his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater, Arcadia University.  During his one year on the staff, the Knights finished with a 16-13 record, including a 10-6 mark in the MAC Commonwealth, and reached the finals of the ECAC South Region Tournament.  He was a four-year member of the basketball team at Arcadia, where he was named to the MAC Winter Academic Honor Roll three times and was named to the NABC Honors Court twice.  In addition, he was named the Philadelphia Small College Coaches' Association "Sam Cozen Player of the Week" in February of 2014.

He has also worked numerous camps over his career, including camps at the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University.

Fitzpatrick graduated from Arcadia in 2014 with his Bachelor's Degree in Communications, before receiving his Master's Degree in English from Salisbury in 2017.
