Jack Nolan of Washington University Honored as NABC Third-Team All-American

Washington University in St. Louis junior guard Jack Nolan was selected to the 2020 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-America Third Team, as announced Wednesday by the organization.

Nolan is just the sixth player in school history to earn NABC All-America honors joining Kevin Suiter (1987, 1988), Jon Bergman (1987), Troy Ruths (2007, 2008), Sean Wallis (2010) and Andrew Sanders (2018).

Nolan started all 27 games at shooting guard and averaged 18.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game. He was named the D3hoops.comCentral Region Player of the Year and University Athletic Association (UAA) Co-Player of the Year. 

Nolan led the conference in scoring, steals (50) and three-point field goals made (85). He scored in double figures in all 27 games, including a career-best 31 at Illinois Wesleyan on Dec. 19. Nolan became the 25th player to join the 1,000-point club on Jan. 31 vs. Rochester. 

He enters his senior season ranked first in first in school history in free-throw percentage (.915), third in three-pointers made (215) and 17th in scoring (1,204).

WashU finished the season with a 22-5 overall record and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the seventh time in school history. The Bears won their 16th UAA title and finished the season ranked No. 9 in the D3hoops.comTop-25 Poll.
