University of Chicago senior guard Cole Schmitz averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game to help lead the Maroons to UAA road victories over sixth-ranked Emory University and University of Rochester. He hit six of nine field goals, including 2-of-3 from three-point range, and totaled 18 points and nine boards in an 84-76 win over the Eagles on Friday. Schmitz finished with 21 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three assists in a 68-48 Maroons’ win over the Yellowjackets on Sunday. He shot 58.3 percent (14-of-24) from the floor and 54.5 percent from 3-point territory (6-of-11) in the two games.
