Washington won its 14th UAA men’s basketball title and gained an automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. The NCAA tournament appearance will be the 19th for the Bears… Robinson Vilmont (Brandeis) averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists in two Judges’ home losses. He finished with a career-high nine rebounds in a 95-91 loss to UAA champion Washington University. His four 3-pointers in that contest made him the 13th player in program history with 100 career three-pointers. The Judges hit 17 three-pointers in the game, one short of the UAA single-game record… Colin Zucker (CWRU) registered career-highs with 27 points and nine rebounds, and matched a career-high with six 3-pointers, as the Spartans upset sixth-ranked University of Rochester, 76-72… Blaine Crawford (Chicago) scored 22 points in the Maroons’ 82-74 win at Brandeis University on Friday and followed that with his 13th double-double of the season, totaling 13 points and 12 boards in an 80-60 win at NYU on Sunday… Zack Ayers (Rochester) scored 22 points to pace the Yellowjackets in an 82-67 win over Carnegie Mellon University on Friday… Kevin Kucera (Washington) averaged 11.5 points, 10.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game as the Bears wrapped up the UAA title with a pair of road victories.
