From NYU Athletics
The New York University men's fencing team competed at the NCAA
Northeast Regional Championships on Sunday, March 9, at Wellesley
College in Wellesley, MA.
The sabre quartet of Andrew
Kelly, Quinten Burgunder, Stephan
Teng, and Jerry Xu had the strongest
collective finish for NYU. Kelly earned the highest finish for the
Violets, placing ninth, followed by Burgunder in 19th, Teng in 26th
and Xu in 28th.
The foil squad was headlined by Christian Vastola,
who finished 13th. He was followed byDavid
Popkin in 23rd and David
Gustafson in 28th.
In epee, the Violets were represented by John
Cramerus, Enrique
Cavazos and Evan Accardi. Cramerus
placed 24th, Cavazos broke seed by 10 spots to finish 25th and
Accardi finished 32nd.
