From Brandeis University Athletics
The Brandeis University fencing team hosted the Brandeis Invitational today, its first home meet of the 2017-18 season. The men posted a 4-2 record, with wins over Cornell, UNC, Incarnate Word, and Brown.
The best weapon performance for the men came from saber, which 4-2 for the day. Foil followed at 3-3, and foil was 1-5, although four of the five losses were by a 5-4 score. All of the wins were close, as the Judges beat Cornell, UNC, and Brown by a score of 16-11 and Incarnate Word 15-12. Senior saber fencer Hunter Stusnick (New Vernon, N.J. / Chatham) went 9-6 throughout the Invitational.
