NYU Finishes Competition at NCAA Championships

The New York University men's fencing team finished competition at the NCAA Fencing Championships on Friday. The event runs from Thursday-Sunday, March 21-24, at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH.

The men are competing from Thursday-Friday and the women on Saturday and Sunday. 

Mickey Bak finished in 16th place with a total of 10 victories throughout the event.

Kyle Welch secured a 17th-place finish in foil with Zohaib Mannan taking 23rd. Welch finished with nine wins, while Mannan collected five. 

The Violets are in 14th place out of 22 teams with 24 points. They are three points behind 13th-place University of the Incarnate Word. Columbia University/Barnard College remain in the lead with 90 points.
