The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed at the final day of the Flower City Preview on Sunday, September 13 and fired a 310 to finish with a two-day total of 630. The preview was hosted by St. John Fisher at the par-72 Midvale Country Club and featured five of the nation's top 10 programs. The 54-hole event was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather over the weekend in the Rochester area.

The host Cardinals won the event with a 604 topping Methodist University, the defending national champions and top-ranked team in the country, by four strokes.

Junior Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./Sutherland) led the Tartans with back-to-back rounds of 77 to finish with a 154. Classmate George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) ended two strokes behind Jennette with a 156 after improving four strokes in the second round where he fired a four-over par 76.

Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) carded a 36-hole total of 159 (81-78) while sophomore Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) finished with a 161 (82-79), as both improved three strokes from their opening round. Junior Ryan Karbowicz (Avon, Conn.) had a 174 (83-91).
