Tartans Lead Field Following Second Round of BSN Fall Invitational

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed at the first day of the 54-hole, two-day, BSN Fall Invitational hosted by Kenyon College on Sunday, October 9 and hold a four-stroke lead after carding a 585 (298-287) for the first 36 holes. The nine-team invitational is being played at the par-72 Chapel Hill Golf Course in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
    
The Tartans second round team score of one-under par 287 marks the third time in the program's history that the team has recorded a round under par. The school record is a two-under par 286 set in 2012 at the Vulcan Invitational at Cedarbrook Golf Course.

Junior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) is tied for second individually after carding a one-under par 143. The junior opened play with a season-best round of one-under 71 before carding an even par 72. Senior Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) stands in fourth place and one-stroke behind Del Bosque with a 144. Klodowski carded a career-best round of four-under par 68 in the second round after firing a 76 to start play Sunday morning.
 
Senior George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) shot back-to-back rounds of 75 to finish with a 150. Senior Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Sutherland) and sophomore Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) both ended play on Sunday with a 151. Jennette entered the clubhouse at the conclusion of the first round with a 79 before carding a season-best round of even par 72 in the final round on Sunday. Tan shot rounds of 76 and 75, respectively.

Carnegie Mellon had one individual enter the invitational, as junior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) carded rounds of 72 and 76 to finish Sunday with a 148.
