Junior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team currently is tied for the individual lead at the 15-team Hershey Cup with a one-over par 72 following the first round of play on Sunday, April 2. The Tartans as a team are tied for sixth after carding a 310 on the par-71, East Course at Hershey Country Club. The two-day, 36-hole event finds Allegheny College leading with a 300.
Senior George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) is tied for ninth in the field of 87 golfers, as he fired a three-over par 74. Junior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) entered the clubhouse of Sunday with an 81 while senior Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Sutherland) and sophomore Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) both carded rounds of 83.
Carnegie Mellon had one individual enter the invitational, as sophomore Adrian Berger (Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) shot a 77.
