Carnegie Mellon Places Second at 36-hole Guy Kuhn Invitational

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the final round of the two-day, 36-hole annual Guy W. Kuhn Invitational hosted at the par 72 The Country Club of Meadville by Allegheny College.  The Tartans carded their second straight round of 304 to finish the event in second-place with a 608.
    
Carnegie Mellon finished behind fifth-ranked Wittenberg University who ended the invitational with a 594 (301-293). Competing as an individual, Wittenberg's Colin Laszlo finished at one-under winning individual medalist honors with rounds of 70-73.  

Seniors George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) and Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) led the Tartans, as the pair tied for seventh individually in a field of 103 golfers after carding a 149 for the 36-hole event. On Monday, Klodowski entered the clubhouse with a two-over par 74 while Qian carded a three-over 75.

Senior Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Sutherland) fired a two-round score of 155 (76-79) with  junior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) carding a 156. Mohan improved four strokes from his opening round score and shot a 76 on Monday. Junior Adrian Del Bosque's (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) shot a 159 (79-80).

Carnegie Mellon had one individual enter the invitational, as sophomore Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) finished with a 154 (78-76).
