Emory University sophomore Stefano Butti (Palm City, FL) and freshman Matt Organisak (Sudbury,  MA) have been named 2016-17 Second Team All-Americans with the release of the Golf Coaches Association of America Division III Ping All-America Teams.

The GCAA finalized the All-America list with the release of the second, third and honorable mention teams. The first team was released following the conclusion of the D-III Championships in May.

Butti concluded the campaign No. 1 on the squad with an average of 73.88 strokes over 18 rounds of play, good for fourth place on the school's seasonal ladder. He posted a team-best six round of par or better and ranked as the Eagles' top performer in two tournaments, one of which came at the Jekyll Island Collegiate where he tied for fifth out of 150 players after firing a three-round score of one-under par 215, tying the school's fifth-best effort for a 54-hole tourney. In addition, Butti came through with a team-leading performance at the NCAA D-III Championships, finishing with a 72-hole showing of 293 that tied for ninth place in the field and that represented the school's fourth-best individual score at nationals.

Organisak enjoyed a fine initial campaign in the Emory program, ranking second on the team with an average of 74.08 strokes over 23 rounds of play, good for fifth place on the school's seasonal chart.  Named as one of 30 D-III semifinalists for the Jack Nicklaus Award, Organisak was tabbed as the UAA Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year.  The owner of five rounds of par or better, he was named UAA Player of the Week (Oct. 10) following his performance at the Oglethorpe/Royal Lakes Fall Invitational where he spearheaded the Eagles' effort and finished fifth out of 102 players with a 36-hole score of four-under par 140 (70-70), with that effort tying the program's fourth-best effort for a two-round tourney.
