Jona Scott's Top-10 Finish Leads Rochester To Sixth Place At Hershey Cup

The University of Rochester used a nine-stroke improvement on day two of the Hershey Cup and improved three spots in the team standings to finish in a tie for 6th place among 15 teams at Hershey Country Club on Monday.
 
The Yellowjackets finished play with a 621 score after shooting a score of 306 in second round.  That score was nine better than UR's 315 from Sunday.
 
Allegheny College wound up as the team champions with a score of 602 (+34) for 36-holes, two clear of Piedmont College who ended in 2nd place.  Franklin & Marshall posted a Monday team best score of 301 and jumped five spots on the leaderboard to end in 3rd.
 
Rochester was led by senior Jona Scott who carded a 3-over 74 on Monday, finishing in a tie for 7th place.  Scott's second round featured five bogeys and two birdies, both of which came on a clean back nine where Scott was 2-under par.  His two round total was 150.
 
Freshman Jack Mulligan shot 78 (+7) on Monday and finished in a tie for 16th place with a score of 12-over 154 for the 36-hole event.
 
Junior Jason Paek posted UR's second best score of the day, carding a 5-over, 76 on Monday.  Overall his round featured 12 pars and one birdie.  He would end up finishing the event in a tie for 32nd with a score of 157.
 
Senior Daniel Luftspring shot a 78 (+7) to complete Rochester's top four for the round.  He finished in a tie for 54th with a score of +19 for the two rounds.  Junior Corey Mitchener capped the Yellowjacket lineup with an 84 on Monday and was tied for 67th.
 
The Yellowjackets also had three individuals competing in the tournament.  Luis Arteaga led the trio, finishing in a tie for 32nd after carding a score of 78 (+7) on Monday.  The junior led the tournament in par-3 scoring, shooting a combined 1-over par on those holes across the two days.
 
Teammate Scott Chudacoff finished four strokes back in 54th place after a final round 79 (+8) while Nick Mitchell ended in 86th after a 93 in the final round.
