Carnegie Mellon Completes Play at Jekyll Island Collegiate

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team finished play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Sunday. The Tartans ended the 54-hole tournament 14th out of 30 teams after carding a score of 894 (296-293-305) over the three rounds. The field was comprised of 14 of the nation's top 25 teams in Division III and included four of the top five. The three-day event was held on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island.

Senior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) continued his consistent play on Sunday with a two-over par 74. The senior led the Tartans over the 54-hole event with a five-over par 221 (73-74-74). Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) recorded four birdies on Sunday and carded a two-over par 74 to finish with a 223 (76-73-74).

Senior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) ended play with an 82 on Sunday and totaled a 227 (73-72-82). Freshman Trevor Arashiro (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) shot a 228 (79-74-75) over 54 holes while junior Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) ended the event with a 245 (74-84-87).

Carnegie Mellon had two individuals play on the par-72 Oleander Course. Freshman Aryan Chordia (Dubai, UAE/Jumeriah College) finished with a 54-hole score of 231 (80-76-75) while freshman Ben Huber (Hampton, Pa.) totaled 243 (82-76-85).
