Emory Concludes First Round Of Kravetz Invitational

The Emory golf team concluded its opening-round of play at the Fred Kravetz Invitational on Friday. The opening 18 holes of the two-day tourney was held at the 6,830-yard, par-72 Irondequoit Course in Pittsford, NY.

The No. 3-ranked Eagles are tied with Franklin and Marshall for the top spot in the six-team field with both squads shooting 298. Host Rochester is at 307 while Ohio Wesleyan stands fourth with a score of 308.  Skidmore College (322) and Adrian College (328) round out the field.

Senior Keenan Hickton recorded Emory's top mark of the day with a one-under par 71, good for second place in the 40-player field. Junior Connor Yakubovis tied for sixth on the leader board at 74, while sophomore Matt Organisak and freshman Eric Yiu accounted for the rest of the team's scoring with both winding up at 76. Stefano Butti shot a 78. Junior Anthony Muscato, playing as an individual, carded a 78.

Dominic Caminiti of Ohio Wesleyan fired the best of the day with a two-under 70.

The Invitational winds up on Saturday at the 6,723-yard, par-71 Oak Hill Country Club.
