NYU Wraps Up Fall Season at Skidmore

The New York University men's golf team completed its fall season schedule with a sixth-place finish at the Saratoga National Invitational at the Saratoga National Golf Club in Saratoga Springs, NY.  Skidmore College hosted the two-day tournament on Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14.

After being tied with host Skidmore for sixth place following a round of 314 on Saturday, the Violets shot 298 on Sunday to claim sole possession of the spot.  

Overall, nine teams and 45 golfers competed.

Patrick McNary was the Violets' best golfer over the weekend, shooting a team-best four-over-par 76 on Saturday followed by a two-over-par 74 on Sunday. He finished in a tie for 11th place.

"Pat played another excellent round today," said Assistant Coach Eric Tarakjian. "I'm proud of his performance and team leadership this weekend."

Three Violets tied for 20th place, as Joseph Burlison (80-74), Moibhi Tyndall (77-77) and Robbie Keyes(81-73) all shot 154.

Chris Lee (36th place, 161) also competed for NYU.

"I saw a lot of good things from our team this weekend," Tarakjian revealed. "I'm looking forward to seeing them improve during the off-season. I'm confident they will come back mentally and physically stronger in the spring."
