Chris Cvecko Named to OCSA All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio Teams

Case Western Reserve University sophomore midfielder Chris Cvecko (Erie, Pa./ McDowell) has been named to the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Division III All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio squads for the first time in his career.

Cvecko was selected to the Academic All-Ohio First Team and All-Ohio Third Team following a breakout season where he was named first-team All-University Athletic Association. In 17 matches, Cvecko tied for fourth in the UAA with 21 points on seven goals and seven assists. The second-year midfielder also tied for third in the league in helpers. His point total tied for the ninth-most in program single-season history, while his assist totaled tied for sixth.

In the classroom, Cvecko excelled as a mechanical engineering major.

The Spartans concluded the 2013 campaign at 8-9-2 overall under first-year Head Coach Brandon Bianco. The team's combined 10 wins and ties were six more than last season.
