The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) recognized three members of the New York University men's soccer team as Division III Metro All-Stars on Tuesday, December 16, led by Co-Rookie of the Year Malcolm Montilus.

Montilus, who was also named a First Team All-Star as a forward, is joined by co-captains Petter Aasa (First Team midfielder) and Mickey Ingerman (Second Team defender).

Montilus finished the year as NYU's leader in goals (7), game-winning goals (2) and shots on goal (18), while tying for the team lead in points (15). The 6-foot-4 Mendham, NJ, native also earned Second Team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) honors.

Aasa ended 2014 as the Violets' assists leader with five. The 6-foot-0 sophomore from Umeå, Sweden, also scored his first career goal (September 23 vs. USMMA) during the season en route to his second consecutive Second Team All-UAA selection.

Ingerman, a senior who spent most of the season on NYU's back line, also earned Second Team All-UAA honors. The 5-foot-10 Baton Rouge, LA, native started 17 of 19 games for the Violets and notched his lone goal of the season vs. Hunter College on September 17.

NYU finished the season 11-7-1 overall, including a 2-5 mark in the UAA. The Violets advanced to the ECAC Metro/Upstate Championship semifinals, where they fell 1-0 to eventual champion, Rutgers University-Camden on November 15.
