NYU Improves to 10-1 With 1-0 Win at NJCU

The New York University men's soccer team improved to 10-1 after earning a 1-0 victory over New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NY, on Tuesday afternoon, October 7, 

Tommy Walters scored the lone goal of the contest, his third of the season, in the 74th minute to give the Violets the 1-0 win over the Gothic Knights. Walters' score came after Petter Aasa (credited with the assist) passed him the ball from the right endline. Walters received the feed and was wide open on the goal line and tapped it in passed the NJCU keeper.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Lucas Doucette recorded one save to improve to 7-1 on the season. The shutout was his fourth of the year.

- Aasa's assist was his fourth of the season. He now has six points this year.

- NYU outshot NJCU 22-15 overall, but landed 10 shots on goal to the Gothic Knights' one.
