Adam Levin Story on Jordan Zides Earns CoSIDA Stabley Writing Award

From Brandeis University Athletics

An October profile of Jordan Zides ’15 has been selected by the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) as one of the regional Stories of the Year in the Fred Stabley, Sr., Writing Contest.

The feature, written by sports information director Adam Levin ’94, was the winner in the District 1 (New England, New York and Eastern Canada) Coach/Administrator Profile & Historical Feature category. It tells the story of Zides’s battle to return to the Judges after suffering life-threatening injuries in a car accident and his return to campus as the men’s soccer program’s first-ever undergraduate assistant coach.

CoSIDA’s Fred Stabley, Sr., Writing Contest recognizes excellence in feature writing, historical features, administrator/coach profiles and event coverage writing. Entries will be judged on overall writing style, correct use of English, inventiveness, written presentation and the ease with which the read acquires the information. In addition to the Coach/Administrator Profile & Historical Feature category, there are categories for Event Coverage, General Feature, Athlete Profile, Blog, Season Preview/Recap and Story with Video.
