Carnegie Mellon Selected to Play for 2015 NCAA Championship

he Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship after finishing third in the University Athletic Association. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the 12th for the program and first under second-year head coach Brandon Bowman.

The Tartans enter the NCAA Tournament with an 11-3-3 mark and will travel to Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 for a four-team regional. Carnegie Mellon will join host #14 Franklin and Marshall (15-3), Babson College (12-6-2), and Gordon College (15-4).

The Tartans will face Gordon, winners of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Saturday at 7:30 p.m., while Franklin and Marshall, who received an at-large bid from the Centential Conference, will play Babson, winners of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) earlier that day at 5:00 p.m.

The winners of each game will play on Sunday, November 15 at 5:00 p.m. in a second round match.
