Four University of Chicago men's soccer players were named All-Central Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Wednesday.

Brenton Desai received recognition on the All-Region Second Team – he was previously All-Region as well in 2014. Desai led the team in scoring with 12 goals and one assist from his forward position. The junior booted five game-winning goals and now ranks sixth in the school records with 24 career goals. He was previously named Honorable Mention All-University Athletic Association (UAA) in November.

Matthew Koh joined Desai on the Second Team after a breakout freshman campaign. As a forward, he ranked third on the team in points with three goals and eight assists. The eight assists are the third-highest tally by a Maroon in program history. He was a First Team All-UAA recipient and UAA Rookie of the Year.

A pair of Maroons were Third Team All-Region picks. Senior Jorge Bilbao anchored the midfield and contributed one goal and three assists on the year. He was a Second Team All-UAA pick. Freshman forward Max Lopez was UChicago's second-leading scorer with season totals of six goals and three assists. Lopez was previously named First Team All-UAA.

The four All-Region selections were the most ever for UChicago men's soccer. The last time the Maroons had three All-Region performers came in 2005.
